Teacher Spotlight:

Kim Cannon

"We hold a space together for our yoga practice and healing. That is the common thread with all of the locations I share yoga with. Each group is so different in where they are in life, health and fitness levels yet they are so alike."

Kim Cannon learned about Small World Yoga through another teacher, and now teaches at three of our outreach locations. At Belvedere Commons, she joins an enthusiastic group of 12-20 students for chair yoga and meditation. She guides sometimes hesitant students from the detox unit at Rolling Hills Hospital, and rotates in for a monthly class at Gilda's Club in Franklin. In addition, Kim leads the Sunday class at the SWY Community Studio for Team Red White and Blue Nashville, a group of veterans who come together for community fitness.

"I am beyond grateful for this opportunity presented by Small World Yoga to share yoga and meditation which have helped me in my own life.  As much as I wish I did, I don’t have the answer for world peace, but I am able to help create a peaceful space for one hour at a time."
